Turbo Trainer

Depending on your budget there are a few good trainers. The three best are the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine; the CycleOps Fluid 2, the Magneto if you want to save a little money or the Mag if you want to save even more; and the 1UP CPR A2000.

The CycleOps Magneto and the Mag are great trainers for beginners or someone who doesn't need a racing type of workout and never will need that kind of workout. I own the Cycleops Fluid 2 and had it for 8 years and it works great. The 1Up is the only product of the three now being built in America, that's the one I would buy today if I wanted a very high quality trainer that can go to whatever level I'm capable of going to. The 1Up you can see and buy here: http://www.1upusa.com/bike_trainer.html
The CycleOps Fluid 2 you can buy here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250902362994+&item=250902362994&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 price includes shipping.
Here's the Magneto: http://www.amazon.com/CycleOps-Magneto-Indoor-Bicycle-Trainer/dp/B000BT8VOW
And the Mag: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BT577G/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000BT8VOW&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1VMQD0GJ8JS9F8STH7S0
And finally the Kurt Kinetic: http://www.amazon.com/Kinetic-Kurt-Machine-Bicycle-Trainer/dp/B000BNCA0Y

You won't go wrong with any of them. The cheaper Magneto and the Mag you could outgrow, so if you plan on training hard and want a trainer that will keep pace with your growth then get the better Fluid 2, Kurt Kinetic, or 1Up; like I said earlier, I think the 1Up is the best one on the market. You can get more expensive trainers with computers and sorts of fun stuff which I've never had the need for the frills, but if want a good basic trainer those are the ones.
