Tween Bicycles: Three models I've found:
1. K2 Stormy "Girls" 26." Sold only at REI and LL Bean. $259 at REI,
$249 at LL Bean. REI has no shipping charges, plus of course a 10%
dividend, and 5% off for using the REI Visa, for a net cost of $220.

3. Jamis XR Ranger, 12" frame. I saw this at Sports Basement today,
while I was milling around waiting for my daughter to finish rock
climbing at a nearby rock gym. $200. Pretty low end, with a hi-ten
frame. Short reach ideal for a tween. Sports Basement offers periodic
20% off discounts (including one this Wednesday, 2/27) and they don't
exclude bicycles. So this bicycle will be $160.
