U.S. opens Pan American Road and Track Championships with two golds

The United States Cycling Team kicked off the 2007 Pan American Road and Track Championships with two gold medals Monday as Brad Huff and Jennie Reed each captured wins in their respective track events on the opening day of competition. Huff scored a victory in the men's omnium, while Reed won the women's keirin. Also on Monday, Adam Duvendeck placed fourth in the men's keirin. The 2007 Pan American Road and Track Championships continue through Sunday. Tuesday will feature several more Americans with scratch race, sprint and individual pursuit action on tap.
