  1. I adapted Ravenlynne's method for "Uglies" last night -- among
other things, hers called for BBQ sauce but I went with tomato
paste. They were pretty good with a salad:

    Uglies

    1# ground beef
1 can Grands Flaky Layer biscuits
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
    4 oz. can tomato paste
1 C. (or more) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    Salt & Pepper

Spray muffin tin with cooking spray. Brown ground beef, green pepper,
and onion. Drain. Season with salt and pepper. Add tomato paste and
mix well. Place biscuits in muffin tin, then fill each with meat
mixture. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 350º F. for 25-30 minutes.

Do you press the biscuit against the sided of the muffin pan like
a deep dish pizza dough? Seems like it would be pretty messy if
    you didn't do that.

Yeah, and they were still overflowing. Next time I make it I'm going
to use 2# of ground beef and divide the dough into more cups...

looks good! It's really good with taco seasoning instead of bbq
also...with lettuce, tomato, red onion and olives.

I'm going to make sloppy joe "uglies" with mozzerella cheese next time.
