My respect for Sam ***** (Posey) just plumetted. In one of his canned reports on OLN, wherein he
imparts his vast knowledge of cycling lore and Tour history to us, the unwashed masses, he actually
used the Vuelta PA announcer's pronunciation of Levi Leipheimer. Well, kind of. He said, "Levy
Leppheimer."

It's one thing for some Spanish dude to have no idea how the name's pronounced given that the guy
was a near-total unknown before taking third last year. It's another thing for an American sports
announcer, on a pre-taped piece with production assistance backing him up, to mangle the name we've
heard a few hundred times this year already.

Is this a joke? I saw the piece too and noted the mispronunciation, but who cares? Are you that
tightly wound to lower your respect for the man?
