Is there any difference with Ultegra 10 speed vs DA 10 speed chains other than price? They seems to weigh the same according to Shimano's website. Is there a difference with material or performance? Also why is the a DA 7800 and 7801 chain?

    Any info is appreciated.

AFAIK The diff between the 7800/7801 is an incremental refinement of the the connecting pins as identified below.

I was told by a Shimano neutral support mechanic that the da, ultegra and 105 chains come off the same machines. The only difference is the shiny finish. Save yourself a ton of money and stay with Ultegra or 105
