Hi Everyone - I'm building up a road bike with an Alpha-Q fork and the front brake bolt (BR-6700) is not long enough, by about ~1cm. Looking at the brake itself and online, it doesn't appear you can take that bolt out (very easily at least) and replace it with a longer one.

Anyone had this issue? What are my options? Or is there a longer bolt available? TIA for any guidance.

My apologies - I think I solved my own problem. I was focusing on the bolt, when I should have been focusing on the NUT. Which it appears you can purchase longer nuts.

Sorry for the hassle. Carry on.

Good work, those who can solve their own problems end up learning more in the process.
The longer nut is probably what you need.

It may also be possible to mix up the front and rear brakes (they usually have different length threads). But this would only be the case if the rear brake is also not fitting properly (due to too long a thread).
