Unlikely. If the frame has unusually skinny chainstays and/or you use a
nice small inner chainring, it might just clear, but the chainline will
be incorrect. Even if the chainrings don't rub, you may be unable to
get enough inward travel for reliable downshifting.
If there's some obscure reason that you need to make this work, a shim
washer under the fixed "cup" may help. Otherwise, I'd just get the
correct BB.
