    how old is unicycle hockey?

    as i mentioned in another thread, we just found a venue to play
    uni-hockey and (in my never ending quest for free publicity for anything
    unicycle-related) i'm busy preparing a press-release
    i want to give a brief history of uni hockey
    i'm literally looking for two sentences

    "Unicycle hockey has been played since 19** when the first recorded game
    took place in *****between ***and ***. National leagues exist in Europe
    and international competitions are played at the annual Unicon
    international unicycling meets."

    if that is factually incorrect, please tell me

    There was a group of guys in Kansas that played since the early 1960s.
    I'm sure there are isolated pockets of this in various places.

    A more interesting history would be to see who has *continuously* been
    organizing unicycle hockey the longest. Probably in Germany or England,
    but who, and when did they start?
