Hey guys, I haven't ever posted on this site, I post on BikeForums.net, but I just released a site for cyclists in the US and the response on BikeForums was good so I thought I'd spread the word here...

Some of you may know of a site called Cyclogs based in the UK thats been working / not working for the last year. Anyways, for the last 8 months a friend and I have been working on a site called BikeWire similar to that, but better with more features (adding facebook, bikejournal, bikereg simillar features), and we are finally releasing it to the public, so i figured I would share with you all.

The URL is http://www.bikewire.nethttp://www.bikewire.net/

If you guys think the site is cool, please Digg it, there is a button on the front page right in the welcome message, the Digg URL is below.

The site is 100% free (we use google ads for now and hope to have real advertisers soon to support our server costs).

Current Site Features:
- Networking: Personal Profile, Areas, Clubs, Teams, Friends
- Statistics: Ride Logs (race, training, recreation), Charts, Graphs (bar, line, area, pie), Stat Feeds
- Leaderboard: Club Mileage, Personal Mileage, Personal Elevation, Personal Avg Speed
- BikeRack: Post a Bike Photo, Info about the bike, and other people can rate it
- Photo Albums: Personal albums, Club albums
- Personal Blogs: Public/Private Toggle, RSS available, Digg/Facebook/etc. sharing
- Area / Club / Team Message Boards: Area Boards are RSS available
- In Site Messaging system
- For those of you with Facebook there is an App http://apps.facebook.com/bikewire/ to post your public blogs, bikes, and recent photos on your Facebook profile (stats soon).

Upcoming Features:
- Race Registration
- Mapping
- Classifieds

I hope everyone checks it out and tells their friends. This site could really help new cyclists find information about cycling in their area and find friends as well as promote clubs and teams and get the word out about local competition.

The site is currently "USA only" because of the whole Metric thing and we have a set list of regional cities to attach your profile too, hopefully someday when we have the money / time we can make it world wide.

There is a feedback form on the website if you find any bugs (this is a NEW site) just let us know if you find something.

I'm pretty sure since this is a free site, I'm ok posting this. If not, please PM me mods. But i think i'm ok.

Thanks guys,
Tim (BikeWireTim on the site)

Well hello there... :D
I see you found your way over here too!

Guys, don't write this off as an ad-bot. This guy's legit and just opened this cycling networking site. I can vouch for him. He posted it on BF and I'm a member of the site. It's looking good so far. Check it out!

Hey cycling forums users.

The site is international with Metric measurements now.

I just wanted to let you all know since this site is more international than US.
