Used trek bike

There's a Trek bike at an estate sale coming up and I'm thinking of buying it. From the photo it looks like the model number is 7000, I have no idea the year of manufacture.
I just wondered if someone could tell me about how much a bike like this is worth.

If it's a 2000 model year in like new it's about $220 max to $130 in fair, thus excellent to good is somewhere in between. What's weird is that a 2010 is worth less at just $135 max for new like condition to just $80 in fair. The reason for the price difference is that in 2000 the bike came with front shock which really isn't necessary because it will cause more problems then it's worth due to it being a very low cost suspension fork; the 2010 model had a rigid fork which is more suited toward the cost of the bike and it's intended purpose.
