Felt Bicycles launched its new 27.5-inch wheeled trail mountain bike, the Decree, Friday in Italy. The full-suspension bike adds to Felt’s family of mountain bikes and features FAST (Felt Active Stay Technology) suspension. “FAST eliminates the dropout pivot in the typical four-bar system to reduce weight and complexity,” said Felt engineer, Brendan Connors.
The Decree FRD complete bike weighs a claimed 24 pounds with SRAM XX1 and Rock Shox Pike RCT3 150mm fork. Frame weight is reportedly 4.5 pounds.
“We exceeded our goals for stiffness, weight, and travel,” said Felt Bicycles mountain bike product manager, Rob Pauley. “Our team was able to develop a trail bike that shines across a wide spectrum of riding conditions.”
The Felt Decree will be available in three carbon models, one aluminum model, and two frame options, and retail pricing will range from $3,500-10,000. Available through select authorized Felt retailers throughout the U.S., the first delivery of the Decree is anticipated for November 2015.
