Here's what I've made with the venison so fare - hunter's pie topped with butter herbed golden potatoes, a small amount of sausage, and a small amount of jerky. The butter herbed golden potatoes is actually a side dish meant to be baked in the oven. We liked the potato bake enough that I use it in place of plain mashed potatoes to top sheppard's pie so tried it with the venison. It came out very nice! I was pleased with the results of the sausage and jerky. Next on the adgenda is bbq venison steaks as soon as we get a day without high winds and I'm planning venison roast later this week. One of DH's hunting friends gave me his recipes for venison meatballs and venison stew so I'll try both of those too at some point.
