Vibration from my Campag Ergo Shifters

Hi,

I have been ridding a Campag Veloce groupo since March. In that last
few days I've noticed an annoying vibration from my right hand ergo
shifter whenever I ride on rough pavement. If I grasp the paddle the
vibration stops.

I ride about 400 K per week, road race, and I suspect I change gears
more than average.

Any ideas on what has happened and what I could do to rectify the
problem?

May need to 'seat' the spring that centers it or perhaps a rebuld may fix it.

Could the vibration be from the two levers hitting each other? There
is a little rubber button on the bottom of the brake lever that sort
of keeps the two levers from touching. But the rubber button wears
away or falls off. And you end up with the levers vibrating against
each other on rough pavement. I've never been too concerned about it.
Always thought it added some character to the bike.

If it only occurs with the smallest cog it could be lack of tension in the derailleur cable.
I had a bad vibration with a left Ergo where the cable was slack when the derailleur hit the end stop.

sometimes my shifters vibrate after braking if the brake cable is
sticky or if the brake calipers are sticky and there's not enough
tension on the brake cable to snap the brake lever all the way out.
happens sometimes after riding in the rain.
