vintage Norco BMX

Hi,

I bought used (in 1986) a Norco BMX frame with the stickers removed.
I know it was a Norco because it had a metal badge rivited to the
front of the headset tube, but I don't know anything else about it.
I'm hoping someone will know what it was based on my description of
it.

Firstly it was shiney Tange chro-mo frame and fork. Tange was written
on the bottom bracket and the bottom tips of the forks. The most
unusual thing about the frame was the tubes were not round. The fork
tubes were tear drop shaped (round at the front and tapered at the
back), the top tube and down tube were oval at the head tube but
became round at the seat tube and bottom bracket, and the seat tube
was round at the top but ovalized to the bottom bracket. The rear
triangle were oval tubes.

The bike looked very cool, but it did have an odd feel to it. The
bottom bracket was about an inch higher than on my buddy's Factory
Kuwahara and the head tube was and inch or so longer. I had to use
the forks on that frame only as nothing else would fit. The problem
with this bike was it was so high up that I kept crashing it on
jumps. At first my friends thought I was a lousy rider until they
tried it and crashed. I gave up on the bike a year later and ended up
giving it away a few years after. I wish I hadn't.

If anyone knows what this bike was I would appreciate the
information. Just curious.
