I'm looking for a good, general purpose 26" tyre for road and trails and have had good experiences
of Vredestein Scarabs. However I can only find these in 1.75 sizes and fancy something a little
wider so am thinking of trying the Spiders on a new bike I'm having built up (these tyres are also
used on the Dawes Discovery 601).
They seem to be generally well regarded but the only review that I can find states that, because
of the side knobs, they can be poor at cornering. Since I like to ride fast on road this concerns
me a little and I was wondering whether anyone has had experience of these tyres? How do they
corner on road?
Many Thanks for any thoughts, Paul.
