I had one on my rear wheel pre- Mar 03, but it suffered a pinch flat (didn't notice any cornering
problems) , so in my quest to find the "perfect" tyre, I replaced it with a Schwalbe Marathon which
has not had a puncture in the interim 7 months until .......yesterday when I got a slow puncture.

I have now ordered the Marathon Plus to replace the Marathon which was getting sidewall cracks
anyway. The front tyre is still a Continental Contact which has remained unpunctured in 7 months.

Thanks for the info. Simon. I do a lot of road riding as well as slightly rougher stuff so cornering
on the 'black stuff' is important, glad to hear that you didn't have problems in that respect.

The Marathons do look good although my experience with Vredesteins Scarabs (2000+ miles without a
puncture) have given me confidence in PRS - the Marathon Plus tyres do look pretty indestructable
though! I've only seen them in 26x1.75 and do fancy something a tad wider.

I have spiders front and rear and have done two tours on them.they roll well and work off road, so
giving freedon to choose route whatever the state of the road or track.

I did 100 miles with neutral wind on more than one day each under 7hours with light luggage, so I
think they must have good rolling resistance.

I agree about cornering though. I accept that because they go so well on rough tracks.If you lean at
speed they feel uncertain and creep out of the bend a little.So I ease off a little on tarmac.

My rear tyre got a 1cm cut which I patched, but i should really replace it.A shame because i have
hardly worn off the mould threads.I think they must be high milage tyres.

i have thought hard about what to replace it with but still want a spider inspite of the other
bargains around.

Thanks, they do seem quality tyres. I'm just a little concerned about the cornering as I've got into
the habit of cornering at speed and leaning the bike. I'll just have to take it easy I guess.
