Vuelta Wheels

Hmmmm, $400 for a 2kg 30mm deep wheelset?

I'd look at something like this first:

or these:

or better yet these:

Or any of a number of wheelsets in the 1600-1800 gram range with similar aerodynamics and similar hubs and spokes.

Got 3 (red, white, black) sets of the Pro2 and they've been absolutely trouble-free race and training wheels. Great value for the money, and they add some style points to your ride...
I have often wanted to purchase items from these Chinese ebayers but never pulled the pin. I take it you have had good luck with these folks?

Nice Tony, I've been looking to replace my aluminum everyday wheels. That's a good deal even with shipping from China. How do you like the build quality of the hubs?

BTW, anyone else get the impression that this thread was a nicely placed advertisement by the OP, presumably working for the company mentioned? Joins the forum and first post is a basic you've gotta buy these thread with no pretext, no discussion of riding or racing or anything else. Smells a lot like spam to me.

Yeah, me too thinks the OP is probably a shillinger.

Anyway, the hubs are simple and the cartridge bearings are easily replaced - not that I've had to replace any. Haven't broken any spokes, even at my weight and with the relatively low spoke count. Have stayed true throughout. At the price, the wheels are a bargain.
