Hi all I'm looking into buying some brasher hillmaster GTX boots, I was wondering if the soles would
wear out if I walked too much on concrete. TIA Andy

I didn't suggest you were joking, but that you were a student. If you are not a student then I
apologise. We get very many inane questions here from students who have no interest in walking, but
only post because their coursework requires them to.Quoted message said:

what you mean by "too much". The obvious answer is Yes, if you walk on them too much then they will
wear out - but whether the uppers and internals are still intact in that time is unknown. You would get better answers if you give the background to your question, and indicate why you
want to know.Bernard Hill Selkirk, Scotland

Trek Lites and have regrettably been mostly used for work which involves walking about 3 miles a day
on pavements, they have lasted longer than a pair of Brasher shoes did. The limiting factor in the
life of boots and shoes has been the upper. The Zambs have just sprung a leak where the rand and
upper suffer most flex above the ball of the foot.
