Actually, I just posted about something like this to the 'keeping bikes out in cold' thread.

I got a single rack yesterday for 10 quid from Decathlon. It could be bolted to a wall, though I'm
just resting it horizontally. The rack consists of two square galvanised metal bars, joined by a
'hoop' to put the wheel in. The square section bars will slot into another adjacent rack. Much like
the cheapo bike stands you see in some places - so I certainly wouldn't rely on it for locking the
bike, considering it also bolts together! Construction is OK - its just galvanised steell with no
other finish (think metal buckets)/ But I thought reasonable value for a tenner. The racks can
either be bolted to the floor or the wall of a shed. tinyurl.comvb1y

There are bound to be other makes and models around of course. There was a link posted recently to a
British firm which makes racks and wall anchors - anyone remember which?

I also think Cycling Plus did a review of a bike rack which nicer at the beginning of the summer.

  3. ps. click on the picture to see a larger view. The racks are on the floor at the right, and one is
bolted to the wall beside the door.

The hook system looks decent on that page for 3 cycles. Of course if you want them against the wall
you'll need something else. On a similar note anyone have any interesting methods of storing a bike
in a fairly narrow passage to cause minimum inconvenience? All I can think of so far is a bracket
on the wall high enough to lift the handlebars over head height making a little more space for
    passing. Anyone?
