Alright, I avoided using derrogatory language, but this is just too far.

You are a fool. You can't just make up your own standards and expect
others to conform to them. How would you sell a frame to someone if they
had to get an entirely new seatpost only manufactured by you to fit it?
Also, even if you used 3/4" OD tubing, you would have to be able to
figure out the ID of the tubing you would be buying. Just saying you'll
use 3/4 tubing isn't a solution at all. That comment just shows that you
have no idea what you're doing.

Since this thread is a request for an inexpensive Coker frame and since
you have volunteered to make one for the requested $50 or less then I
guess I'll bite.

total_uni, I'll take one of your custom frames. Let me know when it
will be done, how much it will cost to ship (to zip code 84062), and
what the total cost will be (keep it around $50 as per the original
offer).

Personally I, like some others here, don't believe you can do it but I'm
willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Build me a functional Coker frame for less than $50 and prove the
doubters wrong! Hey, if you actually deliver then maybe this could be
your new claim to unicycling fame.

I will leave you free to design the frame any way you feel is
appropriate. The only requirements that I will insist on are that it
must accomodate a standard Coker wheel and a standard (you can pick the
standard) seatpost.

Since you already have the required tools at your disposal I expect that
you should be able to complete this task fairly quickly. Therefore I
will impose a deadline of 01/20 (my birthday).

So, less talk and more frame building.

It really isn't how tall you are, it's how long your legs and feet are.
I am 5' 6", have an inseam length of 30" (note that this, while better
than just height, leaves out foot length and ankle height) and have
about an inch or two of seat adjustment left on my standard Coker.

know that building a frame in that amount of time is insane! i would
love to build/try you a frame, but since i cant prove my self a good
metal worker(proven be gerbel) lets do the frame for free ok?

i will build the frame as fast as i can and once you recive it, you will
pay me according to what you think it is worth ok?

(i will be lucky to have it finnished by march)

The thread you linked to didn't say jack s*** about how long it takes to
build a frame. Evan, do yourslef a favor and don't get a job in
debates.

Also, if I can machine a frame from 4 pieces of solid aluminum in 5+
weeks, if you know what you're doing you should be able to finish a
simple welded one in less than 4.

It's a pretty common marketing strategy used by many companies to lock
the customer into buying replacement parts from them.

True, but Evan's not gonna have the production or quality levels
required to oust the current stadards in place on the market. Scott did
that with the lightfoot hubs, and it didn't turn otu very well, although
his uni's are great. Also, replacing a current standard with an inferior
on doesn't usually work.
