I read through some notes someone put together from a power seminar done by Allan Lim a few years ago. In the notes it had these suggestions for warmups:

Day Before:
A total of 1-1.5 hrs with 15-20 minutes at "LT," 10 minutes at Vo2max, and 1-2 minutes supra vo2max. Claiming that this promotes the dilation of blood vessels during activity, and that the high intenisty is ok as long as you eat immediately afterwards.

Day of: 1-1.5 hrs sub-threshold, avoid burning too much CHO or any anaerobic contribution. The lack of intensity is because when high intensity efforts are performed, the first one is always the most powerful.

These both seem pretty unique approaches, the first because of the intensity, and the second because of the lack of. Anyone tried these approaces or have any ideas on them? I'm hesitant to put 30 minutes at threshold or above in a ride the day before a race.
