  1. And hoping to go for a short walk on New Years Day, but tripped / slipped over a tiny kerb
delivering Xmas cards in the dark this morning, and have a twisted ankle, a stiff knee with a purple
(already!) bruise, a sore wrist and a jarred back & neck. A short walk around a pond is about it at
    the moment.

    Bah Humbug!

I shall just have to have a drink instead....

(Of course it may all be a lot better in a week)

    Sorry to hear that.

Are you sure that isn't what caused it?

Thanks. The knee is going interesting colours and I keep finding new bits which are sore. It's
amazing how people can have big falls and walk away very little harmed, and I trip over a 2" (or
less) kerb and am sore in most places. It certainly hurt a lot less when I went for a long
accidental slide on 'snow' some years back.

At 7:30am? Quite, quite sure especially as I didn't have a drink the night before. However I've
collected my brother from the airport early evening and he doesn't believe in too much
    sobriety.... ;-)

I can sympathise with the ankle bit.

Well at least I fell off a big rock.

    Ouch!

Adrenalin probably, or something like that.

I think it's just that sliding hurts less (in general) than landing in a big heap.

I've given in to a little early indulgence.
