I am looking for replacement washers for Campagnolo friction shifters. These are the whiteish plastic washers inside the shifter lever assembly on old down tube shift levers. Does anyone know of a source?

FYI. You can cut a new FRICTION WASHER from the bottle cap from a gallon milk jug, or equivalent ...

  • I recommend that you punch (or, drill) the hole in the middle, first ...
  • then, cut the circumference with a pair of scissors (you can EITHER cut it freehand OR use masking tape to outline the circumference before cutting) OR the cutting tool of your choice ...

Nylon washers are pretty standard hardware. Have you tried the local hardware supply... or on-line hardware.

I forgot about Rene Herse.

A complete set of Triomphe downtube shifters for $22 and that set includes the nylon double-D washers.
