I'm not a fan of Armstrong and it wouldn't be at all hard to persuade me
that he was using performance enhancers, but having read the court
complaint in this case I have to say it didn't convince me. It's
fundamentally about the bitter breakdown of a friendship, and could
quite easily be about the former bike mechanic trying to blackmail
money out of Armstrong. It's one man's word and that man clearly has
two separate motives for trying to screw money out of Armstrong. He's
unemployed, broke and has a family to raise; and he genuinely feels
he's been cheated. These things do not make him a persuasive witness.
