I'm considering getting a Tommaso Monza ('08) as a first-time road bike. From what little I know, the components look good for an entry-level bike, and I've read the frame is very well made for the price. My only hesitation is the weight, which is not officially listed anywhere I can find - I'm between this bike and the '07 Iron Horse Triumph 5.0, which is listed at 22.3 lbs with similar components (but costs $100 more). I read one review that called the Monza "heavy", but of course that's a subjective term. Anybody know anything about the weight? Even a ball-park figure is fine.
I figure as long as the weights are close, I'll go with the monza. After all, who could refuse a bike named after an F1 circuit?
