Got into cycling six months ago mainly for fitness reasons. After 2 months of cycling to work I decided to get a mountain bike and rekindle my 1 year love affair when I was fourteen (I am now 30). Unfortunatly before I was able to ride my Specialised hardrock, I was struck down with arthritic conditions (which are now under control). Today, while visiting my parents in the Scottish borders, I had decided to bring my bike - so while they where walking the dog I could go out on part of a local walking range and try my bike.
The first climb was hard; due to my own stupidity of forgeting that unlike my commuting bike - this is not a single spead (those extra gears make a diffrence). After a good decent and a positive ride, I cannot wait to get right back into this sport. First Glentress (good Scottish cycle park) then Whistler. LOL.
