your kind advice is sought;
I found a 7speed freewheel to swap with my 6speed. I am using 14-24 with the (14,15,17,19,21,24) 6sp
and 52/42 chainring. Where I ride( mostly flat but windy oneway) I cruise along with the 52/17or 15.
I would like to have a gear in the mid-maybe a 16 but I havent found it yet. im still looking. I
think that 14 is high enough for me. If I used the 7speed( 12,13,14,15,17,19,21) I would need to go
down to 46 upfront to give me the sameor close to the 52-14 ratio.If I go this way, what is the
small chainring going to be to get a good ratio? May be the 6speed is good enough? Should I just
forget the 7speed? any thoughts? Alan
