The auction has two different slicing gadgets pictured. The folding thingy
(the "Slice-A-Slice"😉 is used to cut thinner slices of bread from thick
slices. The red-handled item is used to sliced tomatoes. I once had one of
these red-handled slicers (you can get one here:
http://tinyurl.com/2mdc4p), but it was far more trouble than it was worth.
The blades weren't very sharp, plus holding the tomato in place while
slicing was a challenge. I unloaded it at a yard sale...
