What is Shamano CI-Deck Plus??

Could someone fill me in a bit on what this option is for. I noticed them on my brake levers. Couldn't find too much info about them on the net. Thanks

It seems to be a reference to a gear indicator. Looks like you can plug something into the levers which will show you what gear you are in.

It's like the Flightdeck system, but for comfort bikes.

Oh dear lord, it looks like it just fell off the Delorian in back to the future!!!
I think it's a bit harsh to say it's like the Flightdeck, after all that manages to be about 1 inch square!

That looks like an ancient system. I'll just stick with my Cateye Mity8....
