You should watch 2016 Obama's America. I have seen it already and wasn't surprised by the content... but I had also read some of George Soro's books. I have a Home Theater and love a good movie. But its still hard to beat books for actual honest content!

    BBC make some superb documentaries.

"The Wonders of the Solar System" by Dr Brian Cox was superb.
Documentaries by Dr Robert Winston are usually excellent too.
Anything by David Attenborough is needless to say first rate.

Not really a documentary guy but Fog of War with Bob McNamara was pretty good.

The Singularity is Near with Ray Kurzweil was very thought provoking.

And although I haven't seen it yet, this Journey documentary around their new frontman looks cool:

+1 on the Fog of War. Also worth watching is "The Atomic Cafe", a satirical documentary about nuclear weapons, the Cold War, and its farcical aspects. The documentary about Journey has to be a satire, right? I thought as a nation we were past the time when people actually thought Journey was a rock band. They were the Nickleback of their time.

Fortunately, in the 80's their were cures available for the creeping malaise that was Journey:

I was never big on circle jerks. It's always been a solitary activity for me. Group sex I can live with.

Of course, by "their" I meant "there" and certainly not "th' air".

This is Spinal Tap. Robert Millar - The High Life. A documentary about ace climber Robert Millar, most of which was filmed around the time of the 1985 Tour.

My favourite documentary undoubtedly is Planet Earth. It gives a complete and satisfying feeling watching the creation and adversities of the very planet we live in. Watching it in a single stretch is one of the most amazing experiences ever.
