Nope those cyclist are nuts! they squeeze into places I'd never
go. They're much more agressive in traffic than I am. I might be able
to handle traffic on the main arteries but side streets & traffic jams
are not some thing I choose to deal with. I have alternate routes for
that.

Hey, just teasing ya. Did you notice that '23 days in july' is out in
paperback? It's ostensibly about LA, but has a lot of pages on Ullrich and
other riders. Really good perspective of the way things were going down in
the '04 tour.

I only rarely buy a cycling book that isn't a 'how to' type, but this one
is really well written and captivating. 300pgs, good index. Couldn't
resist. Unfort. the photos are in B&W, but you've seen most of them.

Don't know if you're into this 'told from the team bus viewpoint' type but
it's pretty good. (not. affiliated, yada, yada)

I almost broke down and got Pro, and Cycleworld - the pics were great in
both of those, both v.g. issues. I managed to pry myself out of the B&N
with just one book, but it was a struggle. ;-D
