Please enter the following data, and I will keep a running tally - let's find out which are the most durable wheels:

1) your wheels

2) total milage on your wheels

3) how often do you need to true your wheels:
after every:
a. 10 miles
b. 100 miles
c. 1000 miles
d. 10,000 miles
e. never

4) your weight

this will be very infomative!

rear - true every 1000 mile, broken spoke every 3000 (drive side @ elbow)
front - never trued

Occurred to me you should also ask people to report wheel failures and broken spokes. I've run a couple of rear wheels to failure: a Matrix ISO with a pulled nipple at around 3000 miles, and an MA-40 with a cracked rim at about 5000.

I've also had three broken spokes: two on the rear of my old 36-spoke Weinmann rims, (still on the '74 Raleigh beater) and one on the MA-40 rim which later cracked.
