I recently got a flat rear tire changed at a LBS, and went on a 20 mile ride afterwards. During the ride I noticed I had this problem: When climbing hills, whenever I reached steep gradients and tried to pedal forcefully my rear wheel would come untrue to the point it was rubbing against my frame, making it impossible to pedal. I got off and put the wheel back into place, but I had the same problem at steep gradients the rest of the ride. Any ideas?

If the problem did not exist before, then you probably simply need to tighten your skewer ... BTW. If your wheel currently has an skewer with an ALLOY mechanism, then you should give serious thought to replacing it with either a SHIMANO or CAMPAGNOLO or almost ANY vintage skewer which is long enough to use with your rear wheel.
