Where are you from, what do you do?

Hi, I'm Adam from Leicester England.

Just bought a road bike (Felt F70) after years of mtb (Santa Cruz Superlight)

Always put road biking down as boring and pointless, but have to say that going hard and quick is nearly as much fun as being in the dirt ;) *

* That sentance could be used on quite a few forums, most of which are not public friendly :D

I'm Sean, from the Detroit area, but have relocated to St. Augustine, FL. I teach elementary school (3rd), and use my summer off to bike more. I discovered today, however, that I do want to get in before noon on the hot days. Bleah, it was hot.

I'm Bill, from South Bend, IN. I'm a police officer here. I have a Giant Yukon and love to ride when I have time

Hi y'all,

I'm Larry and I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio where I've lived most of my life. I was in the US Army from 1985 to 1991 and have worked as both a police officer and (currently) a 911 Operator/Dispatcher.

At 39, after being pretty much sedentary for the past 10 years, I finally got fed up with myself and decided to start changing my lifestyle. So, when other pre-midlife-crisising 30somethings might go buy motorcycles or chasing younger women (I'm married to one so thank God I don't have to do that! :p ) - I decided to start taking care of myself (i.e. eating better) and went out and bought a bike (a Trek 7.3 FX Disc - I love it!).

I've been commuting to work and hitting the occasional bike trail (over at Lunken Airport for those who know the area) and am working on increasing my fitness level for longer rides. So far it's been great!

From Sunset Beach, CA....just recenty(2005) got back into the cycling scene after a 20 year absence from it. Rediscovered my passion for all things pedalable with particular affinity for 531 steel frames and new technology components. I upgraded my 1978 TREK TX700 ( I'm the original owner) to Dura Ace 9 a few months ago and am back riding 100+ miles weekly. I also have a TREK 560 Pro (1986 frame acquired on ebay) that I have since made into a flatbar 18 speed...also have(since new) a 1996 Performance M405 hardtail MTB that I ride more often than the TREKS---It's old, it's ugly(painted gunboat gray), it's original (all still stx and thank god for ebay to keep it rolling)...but it's seemingly indestructable and It's now like a member of the family. Even has its own room...I'll stop there......

Im from manila,Philippines, Im a Product Specialist for one of the major pharmaceutical company. My goal is to join someday in a bike race-either crits or road race. The problem though is the time a have for a real training. Good day to all!

I am from NC, have lived in New Orleans, Virginia, and currently Savannah GA. I am an infantryman and combat medic. I ride about 10 miles/day and run about 5 miles/day. I have a Trek 7.3 FX I changed over to 700X28 tires, drop bars and 105 brifters.

Hello all. I'm from Pottstown, PA and I am a bike tech at ****'s Sporting Goods. Not all of us there are total morons, and I am doing my best to learn all I can for myself, and my customers. There's an unfortunate, but often true reputation about ****'s bike techs that I am doing my best to correct in my area. I'm getting very tired of correcting all the mistakes of the other techs in area stores. Anyway... please pardon my ignorance as I learn the trade.

Hi everyone. My first time here and I'm looking forward hearing good things about cycling and its benefits. I'm here in sunny Southern California and I started riding (again) because I really enjoy it and I really want to get my body back on the right path. I'm in Software Quality, but riding that bike is what I really do.

Hi.
I live in Texas and have been road riding/cycling /racing since 1978.
Always been pretty active from marathon running, Tri's and now just riding and weight lifting.
I try to average 120-150 miles a week depending on family and other obligations.

I'm from Cavite, Philippines. I'm a 4th year college student. I'm taking up Electronics and Communication Engineering at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. I haven't joined any club or competed in any race. I'm just a thrill seeker. I wish I have enough money to improve my bike. :)

Hello all,
Brand new to the forums. I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and have been an avid biker and commuter for the past 2 years. Luckily I get to take a lakeshore path for most of my ride to work so I can avoid the crazy drivers.
Just got myself a pair of clipless shoes and pedals and have been loving biking even more. I'll be doing the Heart and Stroke 50km ride this weekend so am looking forward to that.
Take Care,
Grant
