Thanks! I was on a strict 20 week training program with both endurance work and speed work. I guess training does pay off even for an ole fart like me. If nothing else, training fools people that I am not an ole fart!!!! I like that! People on the run part of the 1/2 IM said I looked way younger than the age drawn on the back of my calf. That makes all that training worth it!

Gotta like that! One of the things I like about commuting is getting checked out by the fairer gender, especially the "Hey, baby!"s. :D

Hi

I'm George (Obviously) and I'm from Barnsley, England. I am an year 10 student and likes his motorsport. I'm a newbie to cycling. I got into it by watching the Tour de France this year, except with 2 riders doping, its been good to watch and is urging me to cycle too so which bike is the best one to buy?

Hello,
I live in Prahran, close to Melbourne (Victoria).
I have been cycling since, 7.
I have just bought a new bike (Giant CRX-Zero).
I cycle around 12 kilometers per day at the moment, when it is not raining. I often ride along the Yarra and down along the bay. Longest rides have been from South Yarra to Portsea and back. I work in IT. And also ride horses. Currently 42 yo.

History of bike I have owned.
Malvern Star (kids bike)
Repco 10speed racer (It was very heavy)
Europa 12speed racer (it was larger but lighter than the Repco)
Repco 18peed Original frame broke frame was upgrade to a Tri-A frame.
Currently
Giant CRX-Zero (had for less than a week)

I am from Singapore. A fun cyclist. Been exploring the asia region on my bikes. Own 2 Corratec bikes. Never ride other bikes since riding the Corratec.

Just need to know if the Corratec bikes are sold in Perth, Australia?:)

I am a Salvation Army Officer.
Good day

I'm 22 years old and live in Laredo,TX. Up until a few years ago I was into MMA(mized martial arts) and boxing but a motorcycle accident left me unable to compete. Tired of not doing anything physical anymore and gained some weight and I've grown a great deal of respect for cycling and would like begin doing it myself. Any advise on gear and tips for beginners would be greatly appreciated:)

I live in Denver and work as a business consultant. I road raced in my college days - 25 years ago. My back yard is a large county park on a mesa-top with many miles of single track. I have a Stumpjumper Comp (upgraded to XTR) for that. There are many good road climbs nearby in the Rocky Mountains and foothills, ranging from 2000 to 8800 feet (7500 to 14300 summit elevation). I recently purchased a Trek Madone 5.2 SL. It makes climbing a lot of fun! I ski like a madman in the winter.

I'm from Poughkeepsie New York, I ride with the Mid Hudson Bicycle Club, and then I'm going to step up to the Hudson Valley Velo Club. Been riding for about a year, I'm and avid tour fan. My bike is 3 years older than I am, plus it's 25lbs(w/o bottles) , down-tube shifters, ovoid chainrings, and an itty bitty 7 speed racing cassette, but I manage.
