where do tires go

heard it somewhere, with normal accelerations and normal braking, where do tons of car tires ( bicycle - motorbikes also ) go as they get used ? They leave no traces while getting thinner and spent

Oh yes, they do. Tons and tons of very fine dust, at high concentrations at the side of the road, but ultimately blown all over the landscape.

Well, there aren't many dusts that are benign to inhale...
With that said,rubber dust isn't that high on the toxicity scale. The worst culprit is probably the AHA oils used during the rubber processing, there's suspicion they can cause cancer.
