Hi all! First post to this forum so I apologize if I mess up. I'm trying to find any Swedish team jersey. Could be national team or anything else that would be considered Swedish. I have searched the internet like mad with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly.

P.S. I'm looking for a size L-XL as well as S-XS (for my SWEDISH girlfriend).

Thanks alot, look forward to using this site in the future.

The only ones I know of are:
    Team Crescent, nowadays renamed:
    Team Bianchi Scandinavia

    Team Bianchi Scandinavia
    Cycleurope Sverige AB
    S-432 82 Varberg
    Sweden

    Phone: (+46) 340-860 00 Fax : (+46) 340-874 63
    E-Mail: [email protected]
    Web: http://se.bianchi.com/team.htm
Staff and Business Team Manager: Tommy Prim
    Assistant Team Manager: Martin Silberg
    Sponsor: Bianchi Bikes
    Bikes: Bianchi

I you want a specifically "Swedish" team jersey rather than the Bianchi one, there is only one to choose from: Team Mälarenergi

    http://www.team.malarenergi.se/
They have a webshop but it currently doesn't offer any jerseys, (only used cycles and helmets, etc.) however they claim that they are developing the shop to offer more items soon. You could always write to them and ask. As far as I could see there are only two "professional" teams based in Sweden.

I'm with Nomad here - I just did a pretty extensive Google search and didn't manage to find anywhere selling specifically Swedish cycle shirts. I also tried two of the largest cycle web shops I know of http://www.cyclecomponents.com/index.html and http://www.cykelcity.se/ without finding anything specifically Swedish (you need to select "Kläder" and then "Tröjor" from the nevigation menus - in case you don't speak Swedish ;-) )

I do remember seeing a collectors edition woollen Swedish team jersey (modelled after a design from the 60's as far as I can remember) in a magazine somewhere some time ago, but I can't for the life of me find a reference to it anywhere. If I get a chance I'll take a look through some old mags at home and see if I can find anything. It was probably not what you were looking for anyway though.

Thank you for your help. She is trying to teach me some Swedish, unfortunately I can't get her to help me with this as I am trying to surprise her. There is a definite language barrier when I get to some of these sites:( I actually saw the website with the wool Swedish national jersey a while back and can't find it again now. I have searched google and metacrawler with all the keywords that should pull it up, but no luck. I would love to find that jersey. I followed the two links by nomad but could not find a way to buy any jerseys. Ratface, looks like you live in Sweden, I can't express to you how much I would appreciate your further help with this. Let me be more clear with what I am looking for; any cycling jersey with Swedish writing on it, or the national jersey with the yellow cross. Not that I am loaded with money, but this is very important to me, sooo. BTW - I haven't been to Sweden yet, but I can't wait to go. She is from Norrkiping (sp?). She said alot of people commute by bike, what kind of ring is there - MTB and road? Thank you very much.

I've messaged you with my contact details - I'll help out some more if I can.

Riding wise, there's a very good coverage of separated cycle paths though the whole country. And even then epople complain about how bad the coverage is compared to say Denmark ;-)

There's a pretty full calendar of road-races (both competition and "motion races") though the spring-autumn. Cycle competition seems to more or less close down in the winter when there's snow and generally crappy weather in much of the country. There's also a thriving mountainbike scene with both long-course and short-course racing. What with there being so much forest in Sweden, it's possible to set up seriously long courses such as the "Finnmarksturen" which is part of the long-course cup each year and covers 112km of which 77km is on dirt tracks!

Personally I've just finished my first year of road-racing and triathlon. I've tried out a little MTB, but prefer riding on the road! My main goal for next year is a motion race (no official winners - everyone is considered a winner, though timing chips are used for personal times) called "Vättern Runt" which is a 300km ride around Sweden's 2nd biggest lake. Perhaps that would be a good excuse for you and your GF to visit Sweden?? ;-)

I hope that gives you some more info to go on - and check your messages to get in touch with me for some help tracking down that jersey!

Ratface--Would you know if there are any recreational bike clubs in the Stockholm area? A friend of mine lives in Uppsala who may be looking to ride w/ a group.

    Thanks, Ellen in US.

Thule has a jersey that is in the Swedish flag theme with an actual Swedish flag on the sleeves - it looks pretty cool and definitely Swedish but it doesn't seem to have any of those funky Swedish letters like ö or ǿ.
