  1. Hey, im new to road cycling and am about to buy a bike.

Ive narrowed the choices down to the Cannondale R500 [cannondale.commodel 5RR5T.html] and the Specialized Allez Sport [specialized.comSBCBkModel.jsp].

Does anyone have any personal experiences with either bike?

    Thanks for your help.

  2. No experience with either, but if you really are little the allez looks to have a compact frame that may be better. The Cannondale doesn't come with toe-clips that you'll take off and use as filler in the local trash dump. Who uses toe clips anymore??? Cannondale may a better parts by a slim margin...

  3. also if this helps any, I am 5'11 135 pounds and I dont care if i have to pay more for the cannondale.

    very comprable components
biggest difference are frame geometry. do you want compact or conventional design. i have a short inseam so i prefer a compact frame. but it really comes down to what you feel more comfortable on.

take a ride on both in your size and see what fits, feels best
