Folks,

I'd liek to get a bike stand to start doing a little home maintenance / cleaning / repair on my bike. On Ebay various brands seem to range for $30 to $250. I've heard of Park Tool so I assume they are good. Any other brand suggestions?

Thanks,

Park Tool does make nice stuff and they have a varity of models to choose from. I have the Ultimate Pro Elite It is not cheap but it is the best. Here is a link I found it on ebay for around $160. I have had it for 4 years and it still works like it was new.

I have a Spin Doctor Pro G3. It's well made and does everything I need it to.

I've been using a Park Tools PCS-9 for several years and am well pleased with it.

Park PRS-21. Light weight, portable and holds any road bike (and most XC ones). No need to clamp frame tubes (which are frequently NOT tubular).

I have this Nashbar work stand. I work on my road and mountain bikes without any issues. The stand is made of steel and is a little on the heavy side. I like the stand to be heavy anyways gives my the peace of mind that it wont fall over when it is bumped into. Can also be had for under $100 when you catch the right sales.

Hi I went with a Tacx 3050 Spider Team as I really couldn't justify the price of a Park Tools stand plus I like the design of the Tacx over the Park Tool ones. Pretty happy with it overall. I got it for a good price from http://bike24.net in Germany. Andrew
