Within 30 minutes after workouts, right after I take off my chamois, but before I shower, I have a big bowl of granola, non fat yogurt and cut up bananas. The granola and yogurt can get old pretty fast and the banana helps to break that up. It's important to eat right after a ride, because at that time your body is capable of absorbing several times more protein, carbohydrates and fat than at any other time. This helps a lot with recovery, as your muscles get what they need to begin the healing process very quickly.
