Asking what the best mountain bike is, is a bit like asking what the best car is or what the best aircraft is. There's always gonna be a differing of opinion and it really comes down to personal preference.

So much depends on what sort of budget you have to spend. The cost of bikes varies greatly and it really depends on what purpose you want it for, what sort of conditions are you going to be riding it on and also perhaps what sort of physical condition you're in. Knowing this type of information would help others offer better advice on what sort of bike would be most suitable.
