Which Kool Stop pads for Avid Shorty 6?

The Avid Shorty 6 manual only says you should replace them with their own brand (Rim Wrangler 2)

From looking at the brakes and at the Kool Stop web site, it seems I need V-brake replacement
pads. Can anybody confirm that?

If you want to go with refills, use the "V-type."

However, if they were mine, I'd ditch the holders and use the moulded "Mountain" model.

There's an all-salmon version, sometimes called "BMX" which probably gives the maximum stopping
power. The dual-compound version may be slightly less prone to squeal problems.

Whatever you get, choose the salmon-colored formulation, it's noticeably better than anything else.

I believe the moulded assembly is more rigid, and less likely to squeal, but I could be wrong.
