Hello,

I need new road frame, because I crashed my old Peugeot frame, so I have two offers. The first is new Merida Road Race 903 or 901 (I think frame on both models is the same), size M. The second offer is used Cucuma Soleil frame, one or two years old but in great condition, size 57. These are the links of two models :

I am 180 cm tall, and I think that both frames will fit me. I think that the weight of Soleil frame with fork is about 2 kilos. I do not know what is the weight of Merida frame.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you!

1st one is nice, 2nd can't be viewed.

Try to test ride both. Not possible to fully know which is best until you ride them.

Everything else (looks / price / components / material) is just a preference.

Thank you, I really appreciate any help. Here are links for Cucuma and Merida models, respectively (hope it works) :

The problem is I can't test any of this models. Merida is new frame, and there is no complete bicycle in the shop which I can test. Like I said, Cucuma is used frame, which I can't test. So, I've got to buy frame and then test it.
I think both frames are of similar quality, but what would be your pick?

Well if it's just frames, you have to balance out weight, construction, and price, along with looks of course.

My personal pick would be Merida. I think it's looks sharper, plus the Polish team CCC Polsat Polkowice ride them.
