  1. Oops, sorry, I guess I was whining, but actually I was asking a genuine
question : how do you run in winter ? (shoes especially for traction)
and is it dangerous to run in high humidex summer days.

Did not mean to suggest that other areas were not as extreme in weather
as up here, but it came out wrong.

I think I am just frustrated that I am not more motivated. I keep
waiting for that runner's high to kick in.

Will maybe just walk regularly, and train for a 10K run only, and then
find sports I enjoy doing and stick to those.

Thanks, cheers...... tough crowd, you guys are dedicated [censored] LOL

    I admire it.

I guess you just nailed it - if you don't thoroughly enjoy running,
you'll just find it that much worse when it's a bit warm or cool. But
if you love it, need it, would go crazy(-ier) without it, then 95F or
-10F are minor nuisances which must be accommodated.

Yeah, find something you really enjoy, if running ain't that thing.

OTOH before you give it up, are you giving running a fair shot? e.g.
are you going at a slow enough pace? Warming up with an extra slow
mile or two before settling into your proper pace? Running in a good
environment like a scenic trail, or if you're into urban exploration,
mixing up your routes and checking out different neighborhoods?
Running with friends - some people don't seem to enjoy it much without
    - or alone?
