Who will be Exposed French Senate TdF 1998 Retrospective Testing July 18?

JV says:

"Vaughters followed up by claiming that 100 percent of the peloton would have tested positive for EPO if tested three-to-four days before the start of the 1998 Tour."

My guess is somewhat less than 100%. More like 98.87%

Yeah, Lim, and what was the total percentage tested and the odds of a positive (or suspicious) from use if tested? A roll of the dice. It's a dirty world and a dirty sport. No big deal.

I still think Jan and Marco and all the rest were great riders in their time and still are today.

I've said it for a long time, if the stars doped, you can bet your last dime the water boys doped more. They had their noses in the wind for far more hours of work, not sucking 6th wheel and getting dragged up the side of those mountains and sprinting back up with eight bottles stuffed in their jerseys.

God have mercy on those guys.

I recall the heyday of this place where we had the likes of Musette, whine and keys, lebleutrain, diabolicalscot, all telling us that the sport was clean when the evidence was emerging that their man was up to his uniball in doping.

We had every excuse under the sun proffered to exonerate him
"it was a French conspiracy" "LNDD spiked the sample" "Greg Lemond devised this fiendish trap" "Lance wouldn't do that he had cancer" "it was freedom fries what did it"

Why did you need to drag that **** back up again Lim? Feel the need to bring Lance into the arguement because guys you liked, like Ulrich and Pantani, were named in the report? Not sure how that had to come up after Campybobs post... Tour de France riders - doping since 1903 ;)

Masochism?

Lancer was the second greatest doper of them all.

Axle had the Great One to teach him where to turn.

Strange, Hamilton admitted to doping during that Tour yet he's not on that list. Hmmmm. ;)

Did Hamilton race the TDF in 1998? I think he only raced the TDF for the first time in 1999.
Was he EPO'ing in 1999? I haven't read his book so I don't know if he was or not.....

Pretty sure Hamilton was on the Postal team in 1998 Lim. Don't know about the doping but I can take a guess. Of course nothing was exposed until he raced for Phonak as the GC contender.

Might not have got tested, even though he was second in a tt, or the sample degraded
