    Hi everyone.

I am about to spend $2500 on a 2004 Wilier Triestina Alpe D'Huez. It has aluminum frame with carbon fork and stays equipped with full Campagnolo Chorus components (the new version with the carbon levers and rear derailleur) and Campagnolo Proton wheels. This bike is brand new. Could you please take a moment to send me any thoughts or suggestions you may have on this deal? I am interested to hear if anyone has any suggestions for another bike in this price range, or whether this is as good as it gets.

    Thank you in advance,

    Niksa

Firstly stick with Wilier, I've been riding them for years and they are great frames. In the UK JE James Cycles are advertising an Alpe d'Huez frame 2004 for £549.99 reduced from £825.00. That works out at $966 for the frame. Any help ?

I cannot comment on the price range, because I am on the other side of the pond! The Wilier Alpe D'Huez with full Campagnolo Chorus is an excellent bike, and converted into Euro it is a fairly good price.

In terms of quality you have absolutely nothing to worry about. :)
