Tomorrow sees the start of the 10th Winchester Bike Week, with the Bike
Fair in the High Street and the Bike Cavalcade. (i'll be pretty busy
with it)
The fair will be opened by Rob Hayles (double Olympic medalist) at 10am
and he will also start the Cavalcade at 11am
Timetable:
SATURDAY 11th June: Bike Fair 10-3pm
Stands and displays along the High Street - competitions, cycling
groups, clubs, traders, mountain bike aerial display team, transport
groups, sustrans, veteran cycles, local authorities, cycle training

SATURDAY 11th June: Cavalcade 11am
Start King Alfred's Statue - a group ride around the town, taking in the
Cathedral, Jane Austen's House, Winchester College, River Itchen. Takes
about 30 minutes.
(I'll be on the trice, probably pulling a trailer)
SATURDAY 11th June: Cycle Slalom Challenge
River Park Leisure Centre 10-3pm
A simple obstacle course to test skills and confidence for U13s.

Follow on from the morning's skills session with a leisurely ride using
cycle routes and quiet roads, again run by Hampshire Cycle Training.

WEDNESDAY 15th June: Ride with the CTC
Starting at King Alfred's statue 7pm.
Evening cycle ride 10-20 miles with an optional pub stop.
