Hi Everyone!
Well, I'm about to try cycling again after a 3 year break...I had a burst fracture of my T-6 vertebrae in late 2006 from a motocross fall. Last year I attempted to start riding again and had to get a knee worked on...
Cycling works for me for weight control, cardio fitness and I just feel better generally when I'm riding. I'm hoping I pull myself back up one more time before it's too late-I'm 55 now and feeling terrible.Wish me luck!!

Good luck, just don't go too fast too soon. Knees are unforgiving creatures if you don't treat them right.
55 is the new 35 so there's no need to worry about it being too late. Just don't try to train like a 25 year old. Well, at least not for the first 6 months.;)

Just keep in mind that cycling is pretty core-strength intensive, so don't ride in a position that overwhelms the muscles supporting your spine and torso.
