I've heard many women (and Mike Jones) complain that it can taste funny.

Thanks, Ronde Champ

Manuka Gorge is about 50km south of here, but I prefer the stuff my triathlete mate gets me
from Oamaru.

Accordng to heart guru Sally Edwards, sex doesn't count as a workout, your HR doesn't get high
enough, not even if you do interval repeats. STF

Depends on the length of the ride. For anything under three hours, without too many intervals, then
I can get away with little or no breakfast e.g. grapefruit + some caffeinated beverage.

For anything much over that and/or with a fair bit of intensity, then breakfast is important. A bowl
of porrige with fruit + some caffeinated beverage generally works for me, even if I only have a 40
minute window between getting out of bed and getting out the door. I have gotten out of that habit
because the first 10-15 km can be a bit uncomfortable if I'm chasing to get onto the bunch, but
having breakfast is worth it later on.

cheers, Jeff

During the week I have a big glass of water & a Flash-5 bar www.flash-5.com & I'm good to go full
tilt just a few minutes later. Very easily digested.

Race day I have a CytoMax Preformance shake 2hours before & a F-5 an hour before.

Cheers,

Paul "Speedy" Gonsalves

Does anyone have the Japanese citation? or is this common knowledge?

Likewise point two -- not to doubt Veloflash, but can anyone confirm #2? It does match my
experience. A more subtle question is, even though strength is diminished, does training then have
less of an effect? In other words, see #1.

Simple query: what is the best time of day to train? Why?

Kirby.
