On my road bike? I really have not enjoyed riding it, the bike itself is a different feel. Add in being clIpped in and I am struggling.

I'm considering putting on platform pedals for a while - theory being get used to one new thing at a time.

Wrong to do that?

Nope, not at all.

If you don't mind me asking, what is it that you don't like. What kind of bike were you riding before the road bike, and what specifically do you not like about riding the new road bike. Also, what kind of bike is it (make, model) and what rides have you done on it?

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm pretty new at this so I won't clip in until I'm a lot more comfortable on the bike.

I am not crazy about clipless pedals, either. I tried them for a bit, then went back to my Power Grips. There is a compromise available. Bike Nashbar sells 'Rodeo' pedals that have SPD on one side, and standard platform on the other, so you can have it both ways.
